Edward Miliband is a special adviser to Gordon Brown, the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer. He works on a range of domestic policy issues, including taxation, public spending and the welfare state. Miliband has worked for Gordon Brown since 1997 in the Treasury and for two years prior to that when Brown was Shadow Chancellor in opposition.
