Instructions for participating in the EU Center’s chat with Christoph Nesshoever:

  1. Go to the EU Center main page, ...
  2. Find the link called REAL-TIME Chat! (located under the words ‘Check It Out!’ in red on the right side of the main EU Center screen). Click on this link. You will be taken to the EU Center’s main chat page.
  3. Click on the link entitled "Chat with Handelsblatt correspondent Christoph Nesshoever".
  4. You will be now located in the EU Center’s chat room. You will see a series of boxes on the left side of the screen (e.g., name, email, and message) and the text "EU Center Chat with Handelsblatt correspondent Christoph Nesshoever" on the right side of your screen (along with any chat messages that have been posted to the site before you logged in).
  5. To participate in the chat, enter your name, email, and message in the appropriate boxes on the left side of the screen. Click ‘submit’ and your message will be sent to the chat moderator and to Christoph Nesshoever.
  6. The moderator and Christoph Nesshoever will select messages that contribute to the discussion, and Christoph will respond to those messages.
  7. The moderator will post the chat postings and Christoph’s responses to the right side of the chat window. Users should click ‘refresh’ or ‘reload’ on their browser to see the most recent updates to the chat room.
